Churchwide Opportunities

Special Called Meeting

Directly following our service, on Sunday December 7th, we will have a Special Called Business Meeting. This is open to all members of our church. We will be voting: on approving the 2026 church budget, deacon nominees, and committee nominees. This will be followed by a special announcement.

The holiday season is upon us. Join us as we observe Advent, have a celebratory night of Worship, sing Christmas Carols at Bethea Nursing Home, and have an amazing Christmas Eve service.

Christmas Ornaments

Each year at Southside, the children hand decorate beautiful Christmas ornaments to be sold in the church foyer. All proceeds from the sale of these ornaments will go towards the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Join us for Connection Groups (for all ages) at 9:15 AM.

Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with a Nursery offered for Infants – 3k and Children’s Worship for 4k – 3rd Grade.

Wednesdays @ Southside

Life can be hard, and one of the best ways to live joyfully, within this difficult reality, is by growing in God’s Word and in relationships with others.

Midweek Refresh’s goal is discipleship. We want to experience spiritual transformation in all ages. There will be gender specific groups, men discipling men and women discipling women, and groups for students (6th- 12th grade) and children (nursery-5th grade).

Join Ronnie Herring on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary Lobby for an hour focused on encouraging church members with cards, phone calls, and personal visits.

Acts 1:8 Team – Missions Opportunities

Southside Food Pantry

Each month we gather nonperishable goods for our food pantry. For December, we are collecting Vienna Sausage. You can leave any canned goods at the Welcome Center.

Southside Children Opportunities

AWANA

AWANA @ Southside will begin on Sunday Afternoon, August 3, and run throughout the school year! Cost is $30 per child for the year, and registration is required. Please follow the link below to Register your child AND Pay all in one place!

Children’s Choir

Does your child love to sing? Have them come to our Children’s Choir beginning September 14th at 5:10 PM. This is for children in 1st – 5th grade currently, Preschoolers (4k) may join beginning October 12th.

The Children’s Choir will be singing alongside Youth and Adult Choir during a special Sunday Morning Christmas Worship Service.

Sundays @ 5:30

Youth Pastor Justin is excited to welcome all the students back for Sunday Night Students! Every Sunday evening, Students will meet in the Student Center from 5:30-7:15pm.

Student Series: Opposites

You’ve tried it your way, and it hasn’t panned out.

Maybe it’s time to do something OPPOSITE. New series begins Sunday, September 14th.

Students’ Christmas Party

Wear your pajamas and bring a $10 gift for the annual White Elephant Gift exchange. This is a fun event filled with lots of laughter, silly gifts, and fellowship. Parents, feel free to send cookies, sweet treats or drinks.

Southside Men’s & Women’s Ministry Opportunities

Men’s & Women’s Breakfast

On the 1st Monday and the 3rd Saturday of each month, men get together at Long Grain Cafe to enjoy food and fellowship. The women meet monthly on the 1st Tuesday at Long Grain Cafe. These events are open to anyone who would like to join. This is a great opportunity to enjoy breakfast with friends or to get to know some fellow parishioners that you may not have met yet.

Senior Ministry Fall Series

Weekly

Come join us on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM in room F110 for our Senior Ministry Fall Series, as we seek to know God and make Him known, TOGETHER. This is a weekly time of intentional fellowship, worship and bible study.

Holiday Event Schedule

The holiday season is here. Our Senior Adults Thanksgiving meal

will take place during our weekly bible study on November 19th, and our Christmas Party will be after our regularly scheduled bible study on December 10th.
