Christmas at Southside Schedule

The holiday season is upon us. Join us as we observe Advent, have a celebratory Christmas Night of Worship, sing Christmas Carols at Bethea Nursing Home, and have an amazing Christmas Eve service.

Life can be hard, and one of the best ways to live joyfully, within this difficult reality, is by growing in God’s Word and in relationships with others.

Midweek Refresh’s goal is discipleship. We want to experience spiritual transformation in all ages. There will be gender specific groups, men discipling men and women discipling women, and groups for students (6th- 12th grade) and children (nursery-5th grade).

Southside Food Pantry

Each month we gather goods for our food pantry. For October, we are collecting canned chicken. You can leave it at the Welcome Center.

AWANA

AWANA @ Southside will begin on Sunday Afternoon, August 3, and run throughout the school year! Cost is $30 per child for the year, and registration is required. Please follow the link below to Register your child AND Pay all in one place!

Children’s Choir

Does your child love to sing? Have them come to our Children’s Choir beginning September 14th at 5:10 PM. This is for children in 1st – 5th grade currently, Preschoolers (4k) may join beginning October 12th.

The Children’s Choir will be singing alongside Youth and Adult Choir during a special Sunday Morning Christmas Worship Service.

Youth Pastor Justin is excited to welcome all the students back for Sunday Night Students! Every Sunday evening, Students will meet in the Student Center from 5:30-7:15pm.

Students’ Thanksgiving Meal

Join us for a time of reflection on all of the blessings the Lord has given us and to enjoy some great food. This is for all students grades 6-12. Please sign up below if you would be willing to provide items for the meal.

Southside Men’s & Women’s Ministry Opportunities

Men’s & Women’s Breakfast

On the 1st Monday and the 3rd Saturday of each month, men get together at Long Grain Cafe to enjoy food and fellowship. The women meet monthly on the 1st Tuesday at Long Grain Cafe. These events are open to anyone who would like to join. This is a great opportunity to enjoy breakfast with friends or to get to know some fellow parishioners that you may not have met yet.

Home for the Holidays

Home for the Holidays is a special women’s event filled with worship, fellowship, and joy as we kick off the holiday season together! You can choose to host and decorate a table or enjoy the evening at a general admission table. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather with other women, celebrate the season, and prepare our hearts for Christmas.

If you’re interested in hosting or attending, please call the church office at 843-669-7288 and we will put you in contact with a member of the Women’s Ministry Team or you can purchase tickets at the info desk. Men can sign up to serve at Home for the Holidays at the info desk.

Ladies Ornament Exchange

Join us for a fun evening of fellowship. Bring your favorite appetizer and a $10 (or less) ornament. If you need childcare, please call the church office by November 30th.

Senior Ministry Fall Series

Weekly

Come join us on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM in room F110 for our Senior Ministry Fall Series, as we seek to know God and make Him known, TOGETHER. This is a weekly time of intentional fellowship, worship and bible study.

Holiday Event Schedule

The holiday season is here. Our Senior Adults Thanksgiving meal

will take place during our weekly bible study on November 19th, and our Christmas Party will be after our regularly scheduled bible study on December 10th.
