Worship Team

The Worship Ministry of Southside Baptist Church exists to exalt God, edify the believer, and evangelize the lost through music and technology. We believe worship is not a warm-up for the sermon, but a vital response to who God is and what He has done.

 

Worship Times

Both our 8:30 am and 10:55 am Worship Services are led by our worship leader Kipp Gray. Both services are exactly the same and integrates multiple styles of worship songs led by our band and praise team.  
 
Worship is how we take a step back from the everyday routines and focus on what Jesus has done for us. Worship means different things for different people, so feel free to sing, listen, raise your hands, watch, or do it all. Our service seeks to connect people with a Living God, magnify the name of Jesus, and provide solid Biblical preaching.

How can I become part of the Worship Team?

There are several roles that make up the Worship Team at Southside…The most important expectation of being on the worship team is the realization that our primary role is to help lead the congregation in worship, whether on the stage, in the choir loft, or behind the scenes!  We are not “paid performers” and we aren’t doing a “weekly concert.”  What do we do?  We are a group of people willing to use the talents and abilities God has blessed us with to serve, honor, and worship HIM on a weekly basis.  It’s not about ME or MY abilities or MY desire to be in the spotlight. It’s about using our talents to point to HIM.
