WHAT TO EXPECT

People have a lot of opinions about what church is all about. We make it really simple – we are all about Jesus. Whether you have been a follower of Jesus for years or are investigating Him for the first time, Southside is the place for you. Our hope is that through everything we do you’ll be drawn to Jesus! Visit us this weekend and experience Southside for yourself.

What kind of attire am I supposed to wear?
A lot of people will wear anything as casual as jeans to something as formal as a suit. However, there is no set dress code! We want you to come in whatever you’re most comfortable wearing.

What is the service like?

9am Classic Service is lead by our worship leader Kipp Gray. It is a traditional service with hymns, Southside Choir, and “Gaither-style” songs led by a praise team.

11:15am Modern Worship is lead by our worship & student pastor Paul Farrior

It is a service with modern worship songs led by our band and praise team. Worship is how we take a step back from the everyday routines and focus on what Jesus has done for us. Worship means different things for different people, so feel free to sing, listen, raise your hands, watch, or do it all.

Both Classic and Modern services seek to connect people with a Living God, magnify the name of Jesus and provide solid Biblical preaching.

Is childcare provided?

Childcare and Kid’s Church are provided during our Modern Worship Service for infants, toddlers, and children up to 6th grade. Childcare is provided for infants and toddlers under 5 years old during our Classic Worship Service. There is no Kid’s church for the Classic Service at this time. Registration is at the entrance of the Kid’s Church or the Kid’s Town breezeway desk starting. If you have any questions or require assistance, our greeters would be happy to assist you!

Do you recognize guests?

At Southside we won’t single you out! However, we’d love for you to stop by our Information Desk and pick up your free gift for being our guest. During the service we’ll invite you to take your cell phone and text the word “Welcome” to (843) 800-2128 during the service. Or, if you prefer, there are guest cards available in your handout everyone receives when they enter.  Tear it out and place it in the offering when it is passed around or you drop it off at the Information Desk in the foyer. We don’t ask this to pester you, but rather to be a blessing and provide you important information about our church, giving you everything you need to see if this place is a good fit for you! Also, our pastor would love to meet you, so if you are able stick around after the service!
